Recommended Heads
  Born from advanced technology.

Added strength and rigidity – that’s the promise delivered on by Velbon’s GEO series tripods, thanks to our unique utilisation of a carbon fibre and basalt composite material.

The use of basalt further strengthens the carbon fibre leg tubes, and helps provide greater resistance to the bending or crushing forces that may be applied when supporting heavy loads.
We’ve also discovered that using a pulling torsion during the manufacturing process is more effective than the layering process still used by rival manufacturers. This ensures that all the materials become deeply combined within epoxy resin.

Unique technologies, unrivalled response

Ensuring top-drawer quality, Velbon’s carbon fibre legs are supplied by a specialist French company also supplying to the very demanding aircraft and automotive industry.

And don’t forget, thanks to Velbon’s pioneering use of magnesium alloy for tripod body production, our tripods are lightweight as well as fast, strong and technically superior.
